Welcome to Tomcat Cheerleading's Website!
Tomcat Cheerleading is an athletic program of East Aurora High School in Aurora, IL. Aurora East School District #131 has the distinct honor of being the FIRST Public School District in the State of Illinois.
Our school colors are RED & BLACK, and we proudly cheer for The Fighting Tomcats. We have two levels of cheer, Junior Varsity & Varsity, and placement on either squad is dependent on cheer ability, not academic class or age. Both levels do compete, in at-large competitions, and within both the Upstate Eight Conference & the Illinois High School Association Competitive Cheer State Series. This year, JV & Varsity will compete together as one squad. Our goal is to always support the athletic teams of East Aurora High School and to present ourselves as positive role models in the community.
Football Season runs from mid-August through the end of October, and Basketball Season begins in mid-November and wraps up in March. After a short break in March, tryout information is released, information meetings are held, and tryouts take place mid to late April. The summer months include practice & fundraising.
This year we are welcoming a new Head Coach for the Tomcat Cheerleading program, Yanil Delgado! She was a former Tomcat Cheerleader and a graduate of the Class of 2009!
